Whilst walking past the temples I bring the history of the Maya back to life by telling stories and sharing my knowledge, without it becoming a boring historical visit. Let's have fun discovering this beautiful place together!

The cenotes

Chichén Itzá was built near cenotes. These are freshwater caves, connected by underground rivers, formed in the limestone thousands of years ago. The Maya considered them sacred.

After our visit to Chichén we will swim in my favorite cenote near Valladolid. The refreshing water will energize us for a visit to this old colonial town later during the day.

Lunch will be at a restaurant where traditional Yucatec food is being served. You can choose from the menu and try and taste local dishes. I always avoid touristy buffet options to make sure you have an authentic experience.

We will then walk through the town to end the day at the local plaza eating an exotic fruit popsicle before driving back to your Airbnb or hotel.
