SNORKEL WITH TURTLES

Very early in the morning we leave for Akumal, which is an natural reserve that means “Land of turtles”.

This beautiful reserve with soft and fine sand and wrapped by the coolness of the palm trees, it is impossible to resist to dive into its crystal clear and warm waters to snorkel with turtles and colorful fish to observe marine life in freedom, the advantage of arriving very early is that there are less people and so we avoid the crowds to enjoy this incredible experience.

Akumal is the place that turtles have chosen as their home as the bay is full of the seagrass, the favorite food of the green turtle. There is also a beautiful coral reef where we can snorkel to see colorful fish.

This experience is one of the most beautiful and one of the most connecting with nature, since being able to observe the turtles in their marine life is extremely inspiring and teaches us why we have to protect the oceans.

And why only observe and not touch them? Well, because you have to respect them and not invade their space, you simply have to see them and witness how beautiful they are, share the space where they live in which we are only guests and allow them to transmit their peace to us.
